Spend your Saturday afternoon creating a pair of patterned pumpkins during this beginner-friendly Black Canvas Express Paint & Sip in Toledo.
Fall gets a bold black-canvas makeover with Painted Pumpkins! This seasonal painting pairs two pumpkins against a dramatic dark background, with a handwritten “Trick or Treat” adding a playful Halloween touch.
The larger pumpkin features alternating black and white horizontal stripes, while the smaller orange pumpkin is decorated with a crisp white chevron pattern. Together, the contrasting colors and graphic patterns create a fun piece of seasonal décor that stands out from the usual pumpkin patch.
Even better, this is one of our Black Canvas Express classes. You’ll still create a full-size 16×20 canvas, but the black background allows us to complete the painting in approximately two hours instead of our usual three-hour 16×20 class.
Never painted before? You’re absolutely welcome. Emily will guide you step-by-step through the project, so you can relax, enjoy your favorite drinks and snacks, and head home with your own colorful twist on this Halloween-inspired design.

Your finished painting doesn’t need to match ours exactly. Change the patterns, adjust the colors or personalize the lettering to make your Painted Pumpkins your own.
