About Kay-lynne Taylor St. Pete Paint and Sip Instructor:

Kay-lynne Taylor has been a working and award-winning artist for 33+ years. She is a native of Iowa and has lived in South and Southwest Florida most of her life. She resides in St. Petersburg, Florida. Kay-lynne holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design and Integrated Photography Media, a Master of Arts in Drawing, Painting, Printmaking, with a focus on Computer-Generated Fine and Applied Art, and she completed her master Printer and Frame Builder certificate with Bochner Gallery and Fine Arts.

Early in her career, Kay-lynne achieved success as a photographer, artist, graphic designer, and museum installation specialist, as well as an educator in art and design collective studios and at six colleges and universities and three museums.  Her artistic focus changed dramatically when she began working with computer-generated imagery just as the technology was launched, including Photoshop, and specialty-generated imagery using color photocopiers in 1989. Today, she is a recognized and award-winning contemporary digital fine artist. She’s highly skilled in drawing, painting, printmaking, and encaustic art making, as well as teaching art, and loves to have fun while teaching her classes. She employs both traditional and non-traditional painting methods and techniques to help participants in her painting classes, groups, and one-on-one sessions paint with ease while having fun and learning to release or emote emotions. She enjoys discussing all things art, dogs and other pets, photography, image-making with digital media, found objects, torn paper, many varieties of imagery, and collage art. In addition to creating artwork for various exhibitions and clients, she has shared her expertise with the students over the past twenty-five years. She continues to teach classes and lessons and show her art today.
