Meet the Indy Paint and Sip Artists: Stephanie Zki

Today we’d love to introduce you to just one of our paint and sip artists: Stephanie Schrodetzki! An extraordinary painting talent, Stephanie is just the kind of calm & joyful presence you need in your life to feel confident when creating painted masterpieces of your own.

Read on for a delightful question and answer session to get to know Stephanie! 

Describe your first memories of painting. What was the experience like for you?

I come from a family of artists so it was no surprise when my favorite thing to do in school was doodle characters all over my notebooks. Art supplies were under every Christmas tree and in every Easter basket. 

How did you learn painting over the years? Who (or what) inspired you?

After my time in the military, I went to art school. I went on to teach art to K – 12 kids for many years. 

What songs are on your go-to playlist when painting?

I love painting to music because when I look at the finished pieces they have the memories of those songs. Lately I’m digging Teddy Swims, Post Malone and Taylor Swift. Spotify playlists are an essential part of my life.

What subject could you paint over and over and still be excited about it? 

I love painting anything nature related, stained glass inspired scenery and portraits.

What aspect of art do you love to teach to others? 

My motto has always been that you can’t do art wrong!
