Joy is a Latina-American artist, born and raised in Miami with a Bachelor’s in Art and Masters in Art Education at Florida International University. Joy has worked with mediums such as acrylic paint, graphite, charcoal, and digital media, but is most proficient with oil paint. Her main influence for her works was finding comfort in the beach through meditation in trivial points of her life. This inspired Joy to create works of art related to the beach, which she then transitioned into artworks relating to marine life, landscapes, and seascapes.
